How Bear-Heart Woman Brought Truth Back to the People

This wonderful story will take you on a journey through the eyes of a Little Girl who brings love and truth back to her community with the help of Bear-Heart Woman, many other creatures and a very small gift from the earth.
In May and June, 2007, Community Arts & Heritage Education Project worked with 58 learners in grades 5 and 6 at
The grade 6 class created masks, props and sets in collaboration with Aboriginal artist, Moses Amik Beaver.
The grade 5 class had creative input and rehearsed the original adaptation of How Bear-Heart Woman Brought Truth Back to the People with writer/artist/director
Stan Keesic documented the learners process through photographs.
This adaptation of the original legend was seen by over 1000 people in our community. The video documentation of this aboriginal arts education project will be included in a book being published in the
