CAHEP is a grass-roots arts education organization that collaboratively develops and implements multi-disciplinary arts and heritage based educational programming in the schools and community of Thunder Bay. Organizations, the community and all grades in every school are encouraged to engage in programming by using the resources CAHEP creates and makes available (CAHEP website, Arts & Heritage Directory, CAHEP Resource Book and DVD in Best Practices in Arts Education). CAHEP has developed a unique approach by integrating the arts with heritage and the arts, with other arts disciplines.
Some of the programming offered includes an after-school program in arts and heritage, workshops and seminars in arts education, and our signature program - Artists in the 5th - Arts Fiesta. In 2007-2008, this program involved over 600 grades 4, 5 and 6 students.
For more information on all of our programs and resources, please contact the CAHEP Coordinator or visit the CAHEP website.
